15 Nov Silence, valleys and echoes
“Silence, valleys and echoes” features works by two Catalan artists, Carmen Escudero Rubi and Miquel Llonch.
The acuity of these compositions appraises perspective and vanishing points or vanishing plans, while regarding a smooth and delicate chromatic scheme of soft colour variations of emphatic shades and tones. Works that live through the beauty of a deep quietness.
The exhibition is part of Le Consulat’s aspiration to develop an exhibition program highlighting the presentation of emerging artists who are not represented by galleries in Portugal, alongside the acknowledgment of the geographic context of South Western Europe (such as France, Italy and Spain, which share a major cultural bond with Portugal) and Brazil, since Le Consulat’s physical space was, for over a century, Brazil’s Consulate in Portugal.
